Your books stay yours.

Floe does not upload your books or reading progress, and it does not use advertising or analytics tracking. Reading is processed locally. Optional purchases are handled by Apple; see the purchase section below.

When you choose an EPUB through Apple's system file picker, Floe reads the file locally so it can extract book metadata, chapters, and text.

The app stores the imported book content and reading state in its local app container. Reading state can include your current book, chapter and passage position, playback speed, visited-passage milestones, and finished-book status.

Reading preferences can also include your chosen reading palette, Daily Book Shower duration, local session state and optional reminder time. If you enable a daily reminder, Floe requests notification permission and schedules a local notification on this iPhone. The reminder does not require a Floe push-notification server.

Floe Plus is an optional, one-time in-app purchase. Apple processes the purchase using your Apple Account and handles payment information under its own privacy policy. Floe uses StoreKit on your device to read verified purchase information and determine whether Floe Plus is unlocked, restored or revoked. Floe does not operate a purchase-account server and does not upload your books or reading progress as part of a purchase.

No separate Floe account is required. You can restore an eligible purchase through Restore Purchases in About or on the purchase sheet. Removing the app's local data does not erase your App Store purchase history.

• No analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioral tracking.
• No location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.
• No book contents, reading history, or reading progress sent to us.
• Floe does not receive your card number or billing details. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.

The reading experience does not require a Floe server. If you choose to open a privacy, legal, or support link, iOS opens a public web page. Like most websites, its hosting provider may receive ordinary request information such as an IP address and browser details. Floe does not combine that information with your books or reading activity.

Your imported content and reading state remain in the app's local storage until the app data is removed. Deleting Floe from your iPhone deletes the data stored in its app container. Keep your original EPUB files elsewhere if you may need them again.

Floe does not provide or redistribute books. You are responsible for importing only EPUB files that you own or are otherwise legally permitted to use. The app supports unencrypted, DRM-free EPUB files.

Floe is not designed to collect personal data from anyone, including children. Because no account is created and reading data stays on the device, we do not knowingly collect children's personal information.

Floe uses ZIPFoundation 0.9.20 to open EPUB archives locally. ZIPFoundation is made available under the MIT License.
